Preparing for your Juice Fast
DRINK MORE WATER- Drinking water helps transport nutrients to your cells and allows the body to flush out the toxins. CUT BACK ON CAFFEINE - Wean yourself off coffee or soda prior to the start of your cleanse. These beverages are highly acidic, and we want our bodies to be more alkaline. Opt for green tea if you don’t want to cut out caffeine completely. MORE FRUITS AND VEGGIES - Include as many raw fruits and vegetables into your diet as possible. Start introducing the living enzymes that will be abundant during your cleanse. AIM FOR A PLANT-BASED DIET – Animal products are harder for your digestive system to break down, making it work overtime. Cut down and try to eliminate meat, dairy and eggs so your body is prepared for the reboot about to take place. Green Smoothies are a great way to get extra servings in. PROCESSED FOODS – Your body doesn’t know what to do with these artificial concoctions. Eliminating them from your diet is beneficial to your health no matter where you are with your diet.
What to Expect
LISTEN TO YOUR BODY – If you feel weak or shaky and need to eat something, go ahead, this is your cleanse, you can do whatever works for you. Opt for a few almonds or some raw fruits and veggies. Also, our instore food items and raw snacks are great options. Your body is working hard, so you may need some extra rest to recuperate. NORMAL DETOX SYMPTOMS – It is normal to experience headaches, sluggishness and irritability, especially if you haven’t weaned off caffeine. Be sure to drink plenty of water to help flush toxins faster. By day 3 you should be feeling energized and full of life. LIGHT EXERCISE – Stretching and moving your muscles can help your body detox. Go for a walk or do some yoga/meditation, especially during typical “meal times” that might be a struggle due to routine. Breaking a sweat is a great way for the body rids of toxins, but be careful not to overdo it. HELP YOUR BODY RID OF TOXINS FASTER – Dry Brush your skin: use a natural bristle brush and rub little circles gently from your legs to your upper body, this gets the blood flowing. Take an Epsom salt bath: add a little lavender essential oil and Epsom salt to your bath; this will help draw out the toxins from your body and let you relax and even meditate.

Wild Blue offers a three-day juice fast which entails 6 fresh juices a day plus ingredients for lemon ginger tea. The fast includes two exclusive juices not on the instore menu, so it’s a great way to try more delicious juices. The juices are all organic and also include some special ingredients, so we ask for at least 1-2 days notice of your juice fast so that we can make sure to have the produce needed. For beginners we offer red apples to be a little sweeter tasting and for the more experienced juicer we have green apples that are more tart but have less sugar. Just a beginner or perhaps nervous about having only juices for 3 days, well simple start with replacing one meal a day with our fresh juices. Wild Blue also offers juice programs or preordered juicing. Our wellness plans include WEEKEND WARRIOR; 3 days, 2 juices per; HEALTHY HABIT: 7 days, 1 juice per; and MASTER JUICER: 5 days, 2 juices per. With these plans you pick the juices. Although our employees have a medical background they are not licensed to give medical advice, so also consult your doctor with any health concerns. What if I am hungry? Listen to your body, this is your cleanse and you should do what is best for you. If solid food is needed, we recommend keeping it RAW. Raw nuts, fruits or veggies are fine, plus Wild Blue’s raw snacks and instore food items and salads are great options too. Remember the purpose of the fast is to help detox the body and give the digestive system a rest, but even a small break can help the body tremendously so if your body is telling you more is needed don’t beat yourself up just opt for raw clean foods. What about getting fiber? Some cleanses do recommend taking fiber supplement, but if requested ahead of time Wild Blue can provide pulp crackers that are packed full of fiber plus they are good tasting and help with snack cravings. Does the fast have you running to the bathroom constantly? Based on our feedback… NO, but everyone experiences the fast differently. Will the juices stay fresh? YES!
